The Trump administration has dismissed all six members of the Presidio Trust board, the governing body that oversees a unique national park site near San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
Trump previously identified the Presidio Trust as “unnecessary” in an executive order issued last year aimed at shrinking the federal bureaucracy. Congressional appropriators have cut off its access to federal loans, but the park is largely self-sufficient.
The six members — Mark W. Buell, Charles M. Collins, Lenore Eccles, Patsy Ishiyama, Bonnie LePard and Nicola Miner — were all appointed by former President Joe Biden. A seventh seat on the board is reserved for the Interior secretary or his designee.
Three of the members had terms set to expire in May 2027, while the other three had terms that expired last year.
