President Donald Trump plans to visit Texas later this week after flash flooding killed dozens of people in the central part of the state.

“Everyone here at the White House, including the president of the United States, is praying for the victims’ families and friends during this unimaginable time,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told reporters Monday during a press conference.

Leavitt said to the flood victims, “President Trump loves you. We are praying for you, and he will be traveling to see you later this week.” The White House is still finalizing the schedule, she added. “We don’t want to interrupt the recovery efforts, but we’re planning tentatively for a Friday trip.”
