Former President Donald Trump may be warming up to electric vehicles.

Not so much that he’ll stop using them as an attack line against the Biden administration. Or that he would temper his support for fossil fuels. But enough that Trump no longer is saying that EVs will lead to a “bloodbath for the country.”

Speaking to supporters in Phoenix on Thursday, Trump described himself as a “big fan of electric cars.” Three days later in Las Vegas, the presumptive Republican nominee for president agreed that EVs were “fine” — even if he had concerns about their range.
