President Donald Trump’s administrators for some of EPA’s regional branches have showed up at the agency this week.

Scott Mason, who served at EPA during Trump’s last term, is Region 6 administrator, according to his online biography for the agency. Meanwhile, former New York state Sen. Mike Martucci (R) is listed as Region 2 administrator on EPA’s website.

EPA’s regional administrators, who do not require Senate confirmation, are typically appointed later in an administration. Mason and Martucci coming aboard in Trump’s first week back in office could hint at how quickly his team wants to move at the agency.
