Watchdog group adds legal heft amid Trump-era tumult

Aaron Lloyd, who has decades of experience dealing in whistleblower protection and labor law, has joined Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.

A top attorney for the oversight group policing inspectors general has joined Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility.

Aaron Lloyd, formerly with the Council of Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, is now senior counsel at PEER, the watchdog organization for workers at environmental agencies announced Thursday. PEER has been active during this Trump administration, where federal employees have been in tumult as hundreds of thousands have left the government workforce.

Lloyd has over two decades of experience in public and private practice, dealing in whistleblower protection and labor law.

“Aaron comes to PEER at an important moment in our country’s history,” said Tim Whitehouse, the watchdog group’s executive director, in a statement. “His deep experience navigating high-stakes government investigations and worker protection laws makes him an exceptional addition to our team.”
