The West Coast environmental organization Pacific Environment has hired Erika Thi Patterson as senior director of its climate program, the group announced.
Thi Patterson joined the organization in early June after previously serving at Public Citizen as auto supply chain campaign director.
“Erika’s combination of leadership, organizing and mobilizing, as well as her in-depth knowledge of corporate and grassroots campaigning, will be invaluable as we work to move the ocean shipping industry away from fossil fuels towards a zero-emissions future,” said Shannon Wright, Pacific Environment’s executive director.
Thi Patterson also worked previously at the Action Center on Race and the Economy as climate and environmental justice campaign director.
