Former EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler declared Thursday that President Joe Biden and other Democrats want to ban gas stoves — one way or another.

“That was obviously the plan,” he said at the Conservative Political Action Conference held just outside Washington. “And as soon as it got out, they immediately backtracked.”

The battle over gas stoves first flared up about a year ago after Consumer Product Safety Commission member Richard Trumka hinted at the possibility of a ban — an idea that he quickly walked back and that was extinguished by the White House.
