The White House nominated a key Project 2025 player to be inspector general of the Interior Department.
Dennis Kirk, who lives in Virginia, previously worked in former Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s office; she left the administration earlier this summer.
Before that, he co-authored the federal workforce chapter in Project 2025, the blueprint led by the Heritage Foundation to overhaul the federal government during Trump’s second term. The report says he was the associate director for personnel policy at Heritage’s 2025 Presidential Transition Project.
