The Department of Energy’s long-awaited study on liquefied natural gas exports will be issued in the coming weeks, one of DOE’s lieutenants told lawmakers at a House hearing Wednesday

Brad Crabtree, head of the Office of Fossil Energy and Carbon Management, said a final report on climate and economic impacts of LNG exports will be released sometime in mid-December. He made the disclosure during a fiery hearing of the House Oversight and Accountability Subcommittee on Economic Growth, Energy Policy and Regulatory Affairs.

“The forthcoming update of our economic and environmental analysis is both robust and comprehensive,” he said, adding that it will include a 60-day comment period.
