Some of the highest offices within the Energy Department are seeing a fast-paced reshuffling as both longtime career staffers and political appointees with only months on the job head for the exit.

One of the most prominent departures is that of career staffer Ingrid Kolb, who quietly left the agency after serving as acting secretary shortly after the presidential election, and as director of the Office of Management.

The changes mark more turbulence for an agency already seeing spending freezes and the departure of thousands of career staffers.
