Arianna Skibell is an energy and climate reporter covering the Southeast, where she reports on the forces reshaping the region’s energy economy — from the build-out of clean power and the modernization of the electric grid to rising electricity demand from data centers, manufacturing and population growth.

Her work explores how policymakers and regulators influence utilities, power markets, natural resources and the communities that depend on them. Arianna has covered Congress, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and island nations’ pursuit of clean energy transitions. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University.
