The League of Conservation Voters is pumping at least $100,000 into an advertising campaign to promote House Democrats’ clean energy legislation ahead of the midterm elections, the latest salvo in the fight over rising utility bills and gas prices.

The digital ads will run in 22 congressional districts to praise Democrats for backing the “Energy Bills Relief Act,” including a handful of the most vulnerable Democrats in this year’s elections.

Reps. Sean Casten (D-Ill.) and Mike Levin (D-Calif.) introduced the bill last month to restore clean energy tax credits that were rolled back in last year’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act and encourage federal agencies to permit more clean energy, among other provisions.

The legislation serves as an energy platform in the months leading up to the midterm elections, as Democrats look to use high energy prices, and their responses to them, to their advantage. It has more than 100 co-sponsors, all Democrats.
