An environmental group said Thursday it’s launching a $50,000 ad campaign in four farm states to nudge policymakers toward climate-smart agriculture investments.

The Environmental Defense Fund said it’s putting the ads on the radio and Spotify in Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania and South Dakota, promoting a report on innovation in farming.

Iowa is a top producer of corn and hogs, and Indiana ranks in the top five states for soybeans and corn. Pennsylvania is a leader in dairy production, and South Dakota is a top state for corn, cattle, soybeans and wheat.

The campaign comes as the House Agriculture Committee aims to mark up a new farm bill by the end of February, filling in farm policies that weren’t already addressed in Republicans’ One Big Beautiful Bill Act budget reconciliation measure last year.
