The Institute for Policy Integrity is opening an office in Washington to strengthen its presence in climate and energy policy. The effort will be led by former Biden administration official Martha Roberts.

“To better navigate this tumultuous period for climate and energy policy, we are deepening our presence in the nation’s capital with the launch of this new office,” said Don Goodson, the institute’s executive director. “The new office will bolster our ability to engage with developments on Capitol Hill, meet with federal policymakers and collaborate more closely with a range of D.C.-based organizations.”

Roberts, a former senior counselor in the Office of Management and Budget’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, will direct the new outpost. She worked closely at the White House with the institute’s co-founder, Richard Revesz, who was the administrator of OIRA.

“I am excited to build out the new office in Washington, D.C., and expand the Institute’s already strong network here,” said Roberts in a statement. “In my past roles, I have seen how sound government decisionmaking can improve people’s lives. I look forward to contributing to the Institute’s impactful work in this area.”
