Two Democratic-led states are calling for a federal judge to immediately block the Trump administration’s stop-work order for a nearly completed 65-turbine wind project off the coast of New England.

On Wednesday, Connecticut Attorney General William Tong and Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha filed a motion for a preliminary injunction to overturn the Interior Department’s August order halting the construction of Revolution Wind.

“We have no time to waste in getting Revolution Wind back online,” said Neronha in a statement Wednesday. “In the few weeks since the stop work order was issued, without warning or reason, Rhode Islanders have been harmed, facing daily uncertainty.”
