A coalition of 20 blue states is joining industry calls for a federal judge to block six Trump administration actions targeting green energy development.

Wind and solar developers sued federal agencies last month and are seeking a preliminary injunction or stay to freeze actions they claimed arbitrarily blocked renewable energy projects.

In a court filing Friday, Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell (D), New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) and other members of the coalition alleged the policies violate states’ sovereign interests, harm investments in clean energy and endanger long-term goals to slash greenhouse gas emissions to protect public health and the climate.
