Bracewell announced Monday that a former deputy assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice’s Environment and Natural Resources Division has joined the law firm in its Washington office.
Seth Barsky worked for nearly 35 years at DOJ, including from June 2022 to January 2025 as deputy assistant attorney general, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Jason Hutt, chair of Bracewell’s environment, lands and resources department, said in a statement that Barsky’s leadership experience at the federal level makes him well positioned to help companies overcome regulatory hurdles. Barsky is a partner in the environment, lands and resources department.
“Having managed hundreds of federal attorneys and overseen cases that set national precedent, Seth knows how agencies think and act,” Hutt said. “Seth can spot regulatory pressure points early on and help companies structure operations to stay ahead of potential issues.”
