Congress is sending President Donald Trump legislation to overturn another Biden-era resource management plan, this time in Wyoming.

The Senate on Thursday approved a Congressional Review Act resolution 51-43 against the latest land management plan for the Bureau of Land Management’s Buffalo Field Office, which covers broad swaths of northeastern Wyoming. The plan restricted coal leasing. The House approved the legislation on Tuesday.

Senate sponsor Cynthia Lummis (R-Wyo.) said the plan would have “destroyed thousands of high-paying Wyoming jobs, erased billions in labor income and gutted the state revenue that funds our communities and, more importantly, our K-12 school system.”

The Congressional Review Act makes it easier for Congress to scrap newly issued rules. Because the Biden administration didn’t submit land plans as rules, they remained vulnerable to repeal by simple majority. Congress has already spiked plans in North Dakota, Montana and Alaska.
