EPA’s Northeast regional office has snagged an expert in corporate sustainability as a senior official.
Vanessa Martins started June 23 as chief of staff for the agency’s Region 2 office, according to her online EPA profile. Before joining the agency, she was an environmental analyst with UBS and has state and local government experience too.
“We are excited to have Vanessa Martins join EPA Region 2 as Chief of Staff,” said EPA Region 2 Administrator Mike Martucci in a statement shared with POLITICO’s E&E News.

Martucci added, “Her expertise will be an asset to the agency as we work to advance our core mission of protecting human health and the environment while Powering the Great American Comeback.”
