Young climate activists seeking to sue EPA over planet-warming emissions are getting support from children’s rights scholars, economists and physicians.

Three groups have filed friend of the court briefs in support of the plaintiffs in Genesis B. v. EPA, which charges that the agency discriminates against children by placing less value on the future benefits of pollution regulations.

The case has twice been dismissed by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California but is under appeal at the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.
