A coalition of environmental groups called on EPA to withdraw its proposal scrapping greenhouse gas regulations for cars and trucks, saying the move would endanger public health and worsen climate change.

“EPA’s shameful proposal signals that the agency has abandoned its fundamental mission to protect human health and safeguard the environment,” the letter said.
