EPA on Monday finalized two “discrete” changes to the Biden-era methane rule for the oil and gas industry, touting hundreds of millions of dollars in annual industry savings.

The Trump administration is expected to pursue additional changes to the Biden methane rule but has yet to issue that broader proposal.

Although these two changes were first proposed by the Biden EPA in response to industry requests, EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin still blasted the Biden administration’s regulatory agenda.
