EPA intends to delete eight sites from its list of priority Superfund cleanups.

Speeding up cleanup timelines is a Trump administration priority — especially in light of ambitions to repurpose some contaminated properties for data center development.

The agency will publish a proposal Wednesday to remove six sites and partially delete two others upon determining “that no further response is appropriate,” according to a prepublished version of the rule released Tuesday for public inspection.
