A longtime EPA attorney and a former environmental lawyer for the Federal Aviation Administration have joined Washington-based Earth and Water Law.
Sally Mozley Dalzell , who spent 30 years at EPA working on enforcement issues, will serve as a partner at the firm. Scott Mitchell, former assistant chief counsel for airports and environmental law at the FAA, will also.
Dalzell’s work in EPA’s enforcement office crossed nearly every environmental statute, from the Clean Air Act to Superfund. She most recently worked on environmental contamination at federal sites, including overseeing closure of Navy fuel storage tanks in Hawaii that contaminated groundwater.
“[Dalzell] brings a practical understanding of how enforcement and policy decisions are made at the agency level, which will be highly valuable to our clients,” Susan Bodine, a partner at the law firm, said in a news release.
