Conrad Bolston, adviser to former Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chair Willie Phillips, is returning to private practice.
On Monday, Vinson & Elkins announced Bolston is rejoining the law firm’s environmental practice in Washington after a nearly two-year stint at the commission as senior environmental counsel.
“We know from experience that Conrad is a skilled, versatile lawyer and cherished colleague who adds value to every team he joins,” said Ron Tenpas, chair of the firm’s environmental practice, in a statement Monday. “We are happy to have him back in the fold.”
Bolston’s move followed President Donald Trump’s announcement last week that Commissioner Mark Christie, a Republican, would replace Phillips, a Democrat, as FERC chair.
