A little-known Indiana-based nuclear power company is filling its ranks with executives from some of its most prominent competitors.

First American Nuclear Co., which aims to develop small modular reactors, or SMRs, will announce Wednesday that it has hired Patrick Schweiger from Oklo to serve as its chief technology officer; George Malone from GE Vernova Hitachi Nuclear Energy as chief nuclear program officer; and Rafael Paz from NuScale Power as chief financial officer.

The latest new hires comes weeks after First American began engaging with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission in pursuit of federal licensing for its power plant design.
