Two former Department of Energy officials are joining a clean energy group focused on developing low-carbon transportation and buildings.

The Center for Sustainable Energy said Tuesday that Rachael Nealer, who helped lead the U.S. Joint Office of Energy and Transportation, and Nikitha Radhakrishnan, a former adviser in DOE’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, are new appointments to its board of directors.

The revised board will help the organization “stay ahead of the curve and leverage market forces to drive a clean energy and transportation future,” said CSE President Lawrence Goldenhersh in a statement.
