While the Trump administration is looking at shrinking or scrapping a slate of national monuments, one Florida Republican has a different proposal: Create a sprawling new national monument that would span four states and the nation’s border with Mexico.

And honor President Donald Trump by calling the bill the “DON-ument Act.”

Florida GOP Rep. Cory Mills on Wednesday introduced H.R. 5279, to establish the Southern Border Wall National Monument. In a statement, Mills said the bill would enshrine “the wall alongside historic sites like The Statue of Liberty and Fort McHenry.”

Mills added that the bill, cosponsored with GOP Rep. Barry Moore of Alabama, would serve as “a tribute to President Trump’s commitment to securing our southern border and protecting America’s sovereignty.”
