The House is set to consider hundreds of amendments to the annual defense policy bill before the legislation comes up for a vote this week, but two proposals to accelerate Pentagon reviews of wind projects will not be in the mix.

A bipartisan amendment that would have revived a now-defunct State Department bureau focused on energy security also did not make the cut.

The Rules Committee on Monday evening made in order more than 300 amendments to the fiscal 2027 National Defense Authorization Act, including some on critical minerals, geothermal energy, electric vehicles and “forever chemicals.” The panel blocked hundreds of others.
