Two House committees will vote this week on legislation affecting wastewater concerns.
Lawmakers will also address management at Amtrak and the Tennessee Valley Authority.
On the Transportation and Infrastructure agenda is H.R. 1948, from California Democratic Rep. Scott Peters, which would allow the International Boundary and Water Commission to accept money related to wastewater and flood control.
The commission is a body formed by the U.S. and Mexico to address border and water issues affecting both countries. And its portfolio includes several treatment plants. But most of its American funding comes from congressional appropriations.
