Natural Resources Committee Republicans say the White House played a role in housing migrants at New York’s Floyd Bennett Field.

House Natural Resources Committee Republicans are trying to explore a connection between the migrant camp at Floyd Bennett Field and the White House.

In a new letter led Thursday by Chair Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.), the committee requested a slew of documents on Floyd Bennett Field, a New York City park being used to house migrants bused in by Republican-led states. It issued a new subpoena threat if the administration doesn’t comply.

The letter marks the latest turn in a long-running fight over the migrants being housed at the federally owned site. Committee Republicans have already issued a subpoena in the long-running probe, targeted at the Department of Homeland Security.

The new letter says the subpoena produced evidence that “solidifies the integral role the White House played in turning FBF into a migrant tent city.”
