The House passed two more fiscal 2026 spending bills Wednesday — a meaningful show of bipartisan progress ahead of the Jan. 30 funding deadline.
Across the Capitol, senators are continuing negotiations to set up a vote on a three-bill package funding the Department of Energy, the Interior Department, EPA and other agencies.
House lawmakers voted 341-79 to send their two-bill package — Financial Services-General Government and State-Foreign Operations — over to the Senate.

Republican leaders were able to ensure passage of the “minibus” on Wednesday by granting amendment votes to two conservatives who last week demanded more opportunities for input.
