A House Natural Resources subcommittee will weigh legislation this week dealing with national parks and other historic sites.

The Subcommittee on Federal Lands hearing will vet the “America’s National Churchill Museum National Historic Landmark Act,” H.R. 1945, from Rep. Bob Onder (R-Mo.). The bill would designate a Missouri museum about the late British prime minister as a national historic landmark.

The museum site consists of the Church of St. Mary Aldermanbury, which was dismantled from its original location in London and reconstructed in Fulton, Missouri. There’s an outdoor sculpture made from pieces of the Berlin Wall.

The panel will also discuss Michigan Democratic Rep. Debbie Dingell’s “World War II Women’s Memorial Location Act,” H.R. 2290, to commemorate on the National Mall the contribution of the 18 million women who entered the workforce during the war.
