Several Democrats joined House Republicans on Thursday to eliminate a pair of Biden administration Department of Energy efficiency regulations.

Lawmakers voted for two resolutions — H.J. Res. 24 and H.J. Res. 75 — that would undo refrigerator energy standards using the Congressional Review Act, a method that allows lawmakers to roll back new rules by simple majority. The first resolution passed 203-182; the second 214-195.

The Department of Energy finalized the rules during the closing weeks of the former president’s term. One set of standards covers walk-in coolers and freezers, and the other focused on commercial refrigerators and freezers.
