The League of Conservation Voters is bringing on a key official from Kamala Harris’ presidential campaign to lead its electoral work.
Sara Schreiber is LCV’s new senior vice president of campaigns, the group announced Thursday. She succeeds Pete Maysmith, who earlier this year became LCV’s president.
Schreiber will oversee LCV’s super political action committee, along with other work to elect like-minded candidates, such as coordinating with state environmental groups for state races. LCV and its affiliates spent $164 million in the 2024 election cycle, a new record for the group.
“President Trump and the Republican Congress have launched a full-on attack against the common-sense policies and safeguards that lower energy costs, create family-sustaining jobs, and protect the air we breathe and water we drink,” Maysmith said in a statement.
