A legal nonprofit that’s fighting President Donald Trump in court is launching a fellowship program for former federal employees.

The fellowship announcement from Democracy Forward comes the day after the Supreme Court allowed the Trump administration’s widespread layoffs of federal employees to continue. Democracy Forward is representing unions, nonprofits and other groups challenging the administration in that ongoing legal fight.

The yearlong fellowship — with an advertised $100,000 stipend — was designed “in response to escalating threats to the professional, nonpartisan civil service,” Democracy Forward said.

“This fellowship will help ensure that people who served our government have the opportunity to shine a light on the damage being done by the lawlessness of the Trump-Vance administration,” Skye Perryman, president and CEO of Democracy Forward, said in a statement.
