Senate Energy and Natural Resources Chair Mike Lee appears to be dismissing talk of being a contender for attorney general following Pam Bondi’s ouster.

The Utah Republican wrote on social media, “I’m not going anywhere,” following reports that colleagues were suggesting him for the role. Lee commented from his @BasedMikeLee X account, which he uses to share candid views.

Lee has long been mentioned as a potential candidate for attorney general or Supreme Court. He was a Supreme Court clerk and his father, Rex Lee, was solicitor general in the Reagan administration.
