Energy projects move slowly in New England. So when a federal judge allowed work to resume on a nearly completed offshore wind facility in the Atlantic, the governors of Connecticut and Rhode Island sprinted to the coast to celebrate.

“Jimmy Kimmel is back and Revolution Wind is back,” joked Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont (D), equating the project’s resumption to the return of the comedian who was briefly pulled from ABC’s airways.

Speaking over the sound of a hammer a few minutes later, Rhode Island Gov. Dan McKee (D) thanked “the people who are banging on that building over there right now.”
