The Independent Petroleum Association of America has picked a natural gas advocacy leader to be its new president.

IPAA’s board announced Monday that it had picked Edith Naegele, currently the vice president for membership and strategic development at the American Gas Association, to be president effective Sept. 22.

Naegele has been in her role at AGA, which represents gas utilities and related companies, since 2011. She previously worked for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for 18 years.
