The Trump administration on Wednesday announced the launch of new training programs for senior employees in the federal government.
The two new development programs from the Office of Personnel Management are part of the Trump administration’s push to dramatically reshape the federal workforce. The trainings aim to equip federal leaders “with the skills and knowledge to advance the administration’s priorities and drive transformational change across federal agencies,” OPM announced Wednesday.
A memo issued to federal agency leaders details new training programs for the Senior Executive Service — the government’s top career executives — and a separate program for “high-potential” federal employees at the GS-14 and GS-15 senior levels of the federal pay scale.
“These programs are a bold step toward building a federal workforce that is agile, accountable, and ready to deliver results for the American people,” OPM Director Scott Kupor said in a statement. “By investing in our leaders, we’re ensuring they have the tools to advance President Trump’s vision for a more efficient and effective government.”
