After months of uncertainty about where they’d wind up after they were booted from their headquarters, National Science Foundation staffers this week learned where they’ll land.

The agency won’t be going far — the new headquarters will be about a half-mile away from its current location in Alexandria, Virginia, NSF told staffers in an email Friday.

The General Services Administration is announcing the award of a new lease for NSF at 401 Dulany St. in Alexandria, near the science agency’s current location, according to the internal email obtained by POLITICO’s E&E News.
