Former EPA Administrator Michael Regan has returned to the fold of the environmental movement.
EDF Action, the advocacy arm of the Environmental Defense Fund, tapped the former Biden administration official in October to serve on its board of directors. It’s one of a handful of positions Regan has picked up since he left EPA at the end of last year,
“He is a proven leader, and we are proud to welcome him back in this new role as a member of the EDF Action board,” David Kieve, EDF Action’s president, said about Regan in a statement.
Regan, once a career EPA employee, previously worked at EDF from 2008 to 2016, eventually becoming its regional director for the Southeast. Then, he served as secretary of the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality from 2017 to 2021 before former President Joe Biden picked him to lead EPA.
