Republican senators who favor renewable energy continue to hold up President Donald Trump’s Treasury nominees, potentially jeopardizing a larger nominee package floated by Republican leadership.

In interviews Thursday, Sens. Chuck Grassley of Iowa and John Curtis of Utah affirmed they will continue their holds on three Treasury nominees they announced in August: Brian Morrissey Jr. to be general counsel, Francis Brooke to be an assistant secretary and Jonathan McKernan to be an undersecretary.

They are still concerned about the Trump administration’s phaseout of wind and solar credits — including sourcing requirements for clean energy projects.
