Three of President Donald Trump’s energy nominees cleared the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee on Wednesday along party lines.
Senators voted 11 to 9 to approve Lanny Erdos to serve as director of the Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement.
The committee cast similar votes to advance Audrey Robertson to head the Department of Energy’s Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy and Timothy Walsh to lead DOE’s Office of Environmental Management.
Another nominee, David Eisner to lead DOE’s Office of International Affairs, removed himself from consideration this week, said Chair Mike Lee (R-Utah).
