The Senate confirmed President Donald Trump’s top trade nominee Wednesday, as the White House continues plans to implement its tariff agenda.

Jamieson Greer, nominee for U.S. trade representative, was confirmed 56-43. He previously served as chief of staff to the trade representative during Trump’s first administration.

Sens. Gary Peters and Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island and John Hickenlooper of Colorado were the only Democrats to vote for Greer’s confirmation. Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky voted against the nominee.
