Senate Democrats move to undo more Trump rules

Senate Democrats are continuing to unleash a barrage of resolutions aiming at striking President Donald Trump’s environmental regulatory rollbacks.

The Congressional Review Act resolutions have zero chance of becoming law, but the legislation allows Democrats to force a vote on politically dicey topics heading into next year’s midterm elections.

Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), the top Democrat on the Environment and Public Works Committee, introduced three resolutions in recent days.

One would undo an interim final EPA rule on commercial and industrial solid waste incineration units. Another targets the South Dakota regional haze air plan.
