A slew of Senate Democrats introduced 16 resolutions this week affirming the science behind climate change.

The effort, led by Environment and Public Works ranking member Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), appears aimed at putting senators on the record on where they stand on climate change.

The Rhode Island Democrat cited the Trump administration’s move to undo the so-called endangerment finding — which affirms that fossil fuel emissions pose a threat to human health under the Clean Air Act — as reason that Congress should be affirming various scientific findings about the warming climate.
