The Senate on Wednesday voted for a second time in as many days to knock down President Donald Trump’s tariffs — this time his duties on neighboring Canada.

The vote — the second of three votes on Trump’s tariffs scheduled for this week — passed 50-46, with four Republicans voting with the Democrats: Sens. Mitch McConnell of Kentucky, Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Rand Paul of Kentucky. Collins, Murkowski and Paul were all co-sponsors of the bill.

The same four GOP senators voted for a resolution to block the tariffs on Brazilian goods Tuesday. They also joined Democrats to block the Canada tariffs for a first time in April.

He also said he would raise duties on Canadian exports by an additional 10 percent — from their current 35 percent — but has yet to follow through on that threat.
