Connecticut and Rhode Island are going to court again to challenge the Trump administration’s latest effort to kneecap the offshore wind industry.

The states filed a request for a preliminary injunction Monday to block the Interior Department from suspending work on the 65-turbine Revolution Wind project off their coasts.

The states’ request to the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia is one of a growing number of challenges to a Dec. 22 Interior order pausing work on five offshore wind projects along the Eastern Seaboard.

The December order also stopped work on Vineyard Wind 1, Sunrise Wind, Empire Wind 1 and Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind. The department cited classified reports about national security concerns from the Defense Department.
