Alaska Republican Sen. Dan Sullivan on Thursday vowed to block Interior Department nominees to pressure the Biden administration to reverse course after it blocked a mining project and protected large swaths of oil-rich land from drilling in Alaska.

“Look, the Department of Interior, there’s gonna be no more confirmations,” Sullivan said at a press conference with nearly a dozen of his Senate GOP colleagues.

The Alaskan also suggested he would pursue action under the Congressional Review Act to overturn the decisions and did not rule out attaching a rider to a larger piece of legislation.
